Միևնույն ժամանակ, ԱՄՆ-ն ընդգծել է, որ սատարում է Իսրայելին՝ չեզոքացնելու Իրանի աջակցությունը վայելող «Հեզբոլլահ»-ի ենթակառուցվածքները Լիբանանում։

Այդ նպատակները չեն հակասում միմյանց՝ ընդգծել է Սպիտակ տան մամլո քարտուղար Քըրին Ժան-Պիեռը։

«Լիբանանում իրականացվող գործողությունները թիրախային են։ Ուղիղ երկխոսության մեջ ենք Իսրայելի կառավարության հետ և այն կշարունակվի»,- ասել է Ժան-Պիեռը։
