The story of one mom, Sarah Danbury who sat by her teenage daughter Amy’s bedside, day in and day out, as the 19-year-old underwent treatments for chemotherapy will leave you in tears.. Sarah’s daughter, Amy, had a rare and aggressive form of cancer. In spite of all the treatments, Amy recently lost her battle and Sarah lost her daughter. All through the battle with the cancer, Amy was a warrior. She fought hard and never let her spirit get low. She even took part in her mother’s wedding even though it was very difficult for her. “She was such a brave girl. She wasn’t one to sit there crying, she was so strong-minded and a real fighter.” Sarah said. Three weeks before Amy passed away, she and her mother decided to take a bunch of “selfies” in her hospital room. In the last photo taken of Amy, Sarah saw something amazing. It gave her a sliver of hope for her daughters future, even after her death.Her rare cancer caused tumors the size of tennis balls to grow in her abdomen. When they both looked at the photo, Amy said: “It’s my guardian angel!” Sarah said about the picture, “It gives me comfort seeing that picture because it makes me think there was someone there with Amy looking after her knowing it was coming to her time, you just don’t know.”
