Ավելի քան 300 մետր տրամագիծ ունեցող «պոտենցիալ վտանգավոր» աստղակերպ է մոտենում Երկրին

Մոտ 330 մետր տրամագծով աստղակերպը դեկտեմբերի 11-ին կմոտենա Երկրին: ՏԱՍՍ գործակալության փոխանցմամբ՝ այս մասին հայտնել է ՆԱՍԱ-ի Ռեակտիվ շարժման լաբորատորիան:

Երկնային մարմինը, որն ստացել է 4660 Nereus անվանումը, Երկրին կմոտենա մոտ 4 մլն կմ հեռավորությամբ: Այդ աստղակերպն առաջին անգամ հայտնաբերվել է 1982 թվականին: ՆԱՍԱ-ի դասակարգմամբ՝ այն «պոտենցիալ վտանգավոր» է համարվում Երկրի համար՝ մոլորակին մոտ գտնվելու պատճառով:

Հաշվարկների համաձայն՝ աստղակերպն Արևի շուրջ լիարժեք պտույտ կկատարի 664 օրվա ընթացքում: Այն պատկանում է մերձերկրյա աստղակերպ-ապոլոնների դասին: Այս անվանումը երկնային մարմինները ստացել են այդ խմբի առաջին ներկայացուցչի՝ Ապոլոն աստղակերպի պատվին, որը հայտնաբերվել էր 1932 թվականին:
