Foreign Policy-ի սյունակագիր Լիզ Քուկմանը՝ գյաթաղկվելով նավթադոլարներով, մի լալահառաչ հոդված է հրապարակել Շուշիի մասին, Ակնայի և Շուշիի ներդրումների մասին։ Այնհուհետև մի ակնարկով էլ ամբողջովին ցույց է տվել Ադրբջանի իրական նպատակները։Ներկայացնում եմ այդ հատվածը, որն այսօր Ադրբեջանում դարձել է թիվ մեկ թեման․
«Է.Հուսեյնովը ցույց է տալիս ռուս խաղաղապահների կողմից վերահսկվող տարածքների տները և ասում, որ այդ գյուղում հայերն ապրում են աղքատության մեջ. «Պատկերացրեք Աղդամ քաղաքի վերածնունդը մոխիրներից։ Հայերը սա կտեսնեն, աշխատանք կփնտրեն այստեղ և կընկերանան մեզ հետ։ Սա լավ քաղաքականություն է։ Արդյունքում պատերազմի կարիք չի լինի»»։
Մեզ մեր երկրում համոզել են, որ մենք աղքատ ենք, որ մեր փրկությունը թուրքի հետ լեզու գտնելն է։ Թուրքն էլ արդեն բացահայտ է խոսում այդ պլաններից․․․ Թուրքը մեր թշնամին է, ու թիկունքից խփողը․․․
