ԱՀԿ տվյալներով՝ Աֆրիկայի բնակչության ավելի քիչ քան 5 տոկոսն է պատվաստվել՝ այլ մայրցամաքների 40 տոկոսի համեմատ:

Կորոնավիրուսի դեմ պատվաստանյութի մեծամասնությունը հիմնականում կիրառվում է բարձր և միջին եկամուտ ունեցող երկրներում: Մինչդեռ Աֆրիկայում կիրառվել է համաշխարհային մակարդակով սպառված դեղաչափի 2.6 տոկոսը:
