COVID-19-ի դեմ պատվաստումը 50 տարեկանից բարձր մարդկանց մոտ 90 տոկոսով նվազեցնում է հոսպիտալացման եւ մահվան ռիսկը: Նոր հետազոտության ընթացքում նման եզրահանգման են եկել ֆրանսիական Epi-Phare հետազոտական ​​խմբի փորձագետները:  

Ինչպես հայտնել է ՌԻԱ Նովոստի-ն, Franceinfo-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ հետազոտության շրջանակներում գիտնականները կորոնավիրուսի դեմ Pfizer/BioNtech, Moderna եւ AstraZeneca պատվաստանյութերով պատվաստված այս տարիքային խմբի 11 միլիոն մարդու առողջական տվյալները համեմատել են նույն տարիքային խմբի 11 միլիոն մարդկու տվյալների հետ, որոնք չեն պատվաստվել:

Հետազոտությունը ցույց է տվել, որ պատվաստման երկրորդ չափաբաժինը ներկարկելուց հետո 14-րդ օրվանից հոսպիտալացման ռիսկը նվազել է ավելի քան 90 տոկոսով: Բացի այդ, գիտնականները պարզել են, որ պատվաստումն արդյունավետ է նաեւ կորոնավիրուսի «դելտա» շտամի դեմ:

«Դելտա» շտամի դեմ պատվաստումների ազդեցության ուսումնասիրության ընթացքում դրա արդյունավետությունը եղել է 84 տոկոս 75 տարեկանից բարձր մարդկանց տարիքային խմբում եւ 92 տոկոս՝ 50-75 տարեկան մարդկանց դեպքում:
