Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը տարիներ շարունակ քննադատել է նախորդ իշխանություններին՝ տնտեսական մենաշնորհների, կոռուպցիոն դրսևորումների մեջ: Իշխանության գալուց հետո, սակայն, ինչպես բոլոր հարցերում, այս պարագայում էլ Փաշինյանի իշխանությունը անում է այն ամենը, ինչը ժամանակին քննադատել են: Մասնավորաբար, 1or.am-ի տեղեկություններով, մտնելով նավթամքերթի շուկա, ՔՊ-ական գործարար-պատգամավոր Խաչատուր Սուքիասյանը ձգտում է այս դաշտում հաստատել մենաշնորհ՝ մնացյալին աստիճանաբար ճնշելով ու դուրս մղելով: Ըստ առկա տեղեկությունների, նա ստանդարտներին չհամապատասխանող նավթամթերք է մտցնում հայաստանյան շուկա Թուրքմենստանից, Իրաքից և Իրանից: Եթե հաշվի առնենք, որ Խաչատուր Սուքիասյանը շահել է նաև ՊՆ-ի վառելիքի գնման մրցույթը, պետք է ենթադրել, որ այդ անորակ վառելիքը մատակարարվելու է նաև բանակին, որն իր հերթին կարող է խնդիրներ առաջացնել: Այստեղ ևս փաստացի գործ ունենք Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի երկակի ստանդարտների հերթական կիրառման մեջ:
