Դանիայի եւ Շվեդիայի գիտնականները պատահաբար նոր կղզի են հայտնաբերել Գրենլանդիայի մերձակայքում: Տարածքը դարձել է Երկրի ամենահյուսիսային ցամաքային տարածքը, հայտնում է Lenta.ru-ն՝ հղում անելով Կոպենհագենի համալսարանին:

Գտնված տարածքի մակերեսը կազմել է 60x30 մետր: Այն ծածկված է մանրախճով եւ ցեխով: Գիտնականներն առաջարկել են կղզին անվանել Կեկերտակ Ավանարլեգ, ինչը գրենլանդական լեզվից թարգմանվում է որպես «ամենահյուսիսային երկիր»: Կղզու հայտնվելը փորձագետները բացատրել են տարածքում սառույցի տեղաշարժերով:

Ըստ գիտնականների՝ կղզին իրենից արժեք չի ներկայացնում: «Բայց անձնական մակարդակում, անշուշտ, հաճելի է լինել աշխարհի այն վեց մարդկանցից մեկը, ովքեր իրենց կեղտոտ կոշիկներով ոտք են դրել Երկրի ամենահյուսիսային տարածքում»,- ասում է խմբի գիտական ղեկավար Մորթեն Ռաշը:
