Հայտնի է դարձել, որ Նյու Յորքում հայտնաբերվել է կորոնավիրուսային վարակի նոր տեսակ ՝ «յոտա» անունով, գրում է svpressa.ru-ն: 

«Դա մեծացնում է մահացությունը 82%-ով, հատկապես 45 տարեկանից բարձր տարիքում, և փոխանցվում է 25% ավելի արագ, քան մյուս մուտացիաները»,-նշել է  ՌԴ առողջապահության նախարարության Ուրալի դաշնային շրջանի բժշկական կանխարգելման գլխավոր մասնագետ, բժշկական գիտությունների դոկտոր Սերգեյ Տոկարև:

Նա նշել է, որ այս շտամը կարող է խուսափել իմունային պատասխանից: Տոկարևը նաև հավելել է, որ «յոտան» կորոնավիրուսի նույնիսկ ավելի պաթոգեն և վարակիչ տարբերակն է:
