Հունիսի 25-ին ռուսական լրատվամիջոցները հաղորդել էին, որ Ռուսաստանի Դաշնությունում հայտնաբերվել է «դելտա-պլյուս» շտամով վարակման առաջին դեպքը: «Ռոսպոտրեբնադզորի» գիտական ​​կազմակերպությունները սկսել էին ստուգել այս տեղեկատվությունը:

«Ռոսպոտրեբնադզորի» ղեկավար Աննա Պոպովայի հայտարարությամբ՝ «դելտա-պլյուս» շտամով վարակման առաջին դեպքն արձանագրվել է մի կնոջ մոտ, ով հիվանդությունը թեթև է տարել:
