Մահացել է «Գրեմմիի» հնգակի դափնեկիր Բի Ջեյ Թոմասը

Մայիսի 29-ին մահացել է փոփ և քանթրի ժանրում հանդես եկող ամերիկացի կատարող Բի Ջեյ Թոմասը: Վերջինս կյանքից հեռացել է 78 տարեկանում Տեխասում: Այս մասին հյատնում է ՏԱՍՍ գործակալությունը՝ վկայակոչելով երգչի պաշտոնակա թվիթերյան էջի հաղորդագրությունը:

Variety պարբերականի տվյալներով՝ երգչի մահվան պատճառը թոքերի քաղցկեղն է եղել: Իր ստեղծագործական կյանքի ընթացքում Բի Ջեյ Թոմասը հինգ «Գրեմմի» մրցանակի է արժանացել: Ողջ աշխարհում վաճառվել է նրա ալբոմների ավելի քան 70 մլն կրկնօրինակ, իսկ նրա երգերը բազմիցս գլխավորում էին ամերիկյան հիթ-շքերթները:

Թոմասի ամենահայտնի երգերից մեկի՝ Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on my Head ստեղծագործության մեղեդին Լյուդմիլա Գուրչենկոյի հերոսուհու կատարմամբ հնչում է Էլդար Ռյազանովի «Կայարան երկուսի համար» ֆիլմում (1982):
