Ադրբեջանցիների լկտիությունը պայմանավորված է նրանով, որ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը, ըստ լուրերի, բանավոր խոստացել է Ադրբեջանին տալ Տավուշի մարզում 9-12 գյուղ եւ Տիգրանաշենը՝ Քյարքին, ինչպես նաեւ 2 միջանցք Սյունիքում, որով Ադրբեջանը կկապվի Թուրքիայի հետ։

Երեկ առավոտյան Սեւ լճի մոտ հաստատված հրոսակախումբը նախօրեի բանակցությունների հիման վրա իրերը հավաքել էր, որ հեռանա, սակայն մի քանի ժամից նորից քանդել են կապած իրերն ու տեղավորվել։ Ոմանք դա բացատրում էին Անվտանգության խորհրդի նիստում Փաշինյանի ելույթով, թե ոչ մի միջանցքի մասին էլ խոսք չկա, ինչը զայրացրել է ադրբեջանական կողմին։ Նրանք որոշել են՝ եթե Փաշինյանն իր պայմանավորվածությունները չի պահում, մենք էլ մերը չենք պահի։
