Որոշ լրատվամիջոցներ տեղեկություններ են տարածում իբր «Վարդենիսի սահմանային հատվածում ադրբեջանցիների կողմից հայկական դիրք գրավելու» մասին:

Տեղեկատվության ստուգման կենտրոնին ՀՀ ԶՈւ ԳՇ-ից կտրականապես հերքել են այդ տեղեկությունը:

«Ոչ միայն ադրբեջանցիները հայկական որևէ դիրք չեն գրավել, այլև նույնիսկ տեսականորեն չէին կարող  գրավել, քանի որ սահմանային այդ հատվածում, որտեղ ադրբեջանցիները փորձել են առաջխաղացում ապահովել,  մարտական դիրքեր ուղղակի չկան և դա ընդամենը բաց տարածք է, որը, ինչպես նաև այդտեղ գտնվող ադրբեջանցի զինվորականները,  գտնվում են հայկական ստորաբաժանումների վերահսկողության տակ»,- հստակեցրել են ՀՀ ԶՈւ ԳՇ-ից։
