ԱՄՆ կոնգրեսական Ջեքի Սփիերը հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանին Ադրբեջանի գործողությունները համարում է սպառնալիք տարածաշրջանի կայունությանը:

«Ադրբեջանը ներխուժել է Հայաստանի տարածք և նրա գործողությունները սպառնում են տարածաշրջանի կայունությանը: Ես կոչ եմ անում պետքարտուղար Էնթոնի Բլինքենին դատապարտել Ադրբեջանի կողմից Հայաստանի ինքնիշխանության խախտումը և ճնշում գործադրել Ադրբեջանի վրա՝ անհապաղ հետ քաշելու իր ուժերը»,-  «Թվիթեր»-ի իր միկրոբլոգում նշել է կոնգրեսականը:

Մայիսի 12-ից Ադրբեջանի զինված ուժերի զինծառայողների որոշ խմբեր հատել են Հայաստանի պետական սահմանը և Սև լիճը պարփակելուն ուղղված գործողություններ են արել: Հայաստանի զինված ուժերը մարտավարական բնույթի հակագործողություններ են իրականացրել: Հարակից որոշ տարածքներում դիրքավորված ադրբեջանցիները հայկական զինուժի մարտավարական հակագործողությունների արդյունքում հեռացել են զբաղեցրած բնագծերից: Միաժամանակ ադրբեջանական զինուժի շուրջ 250 ներկայացուցիչ շարունակում է գտնվել ՀՀ պետական սահմաններից ներս՝ Սյունիքի և Գեղարքունիքի մարզերի որոշ հատվածներում:Հայաստանը պաշտոնապես դիմել է ՀԱՊԿ-ին:
