Լոս Անջելեսում 88 տարեկանում մահացել է ամերիկացի միլիարդատեր, հայտնի բարերար և արվեստի նմուշների հավաքորդ Էլի Բրոդը, հայտնում է Reuters լրատվական գործակալությունը։

Բրոդը, որը մեծ դեր է ունեցել Լոս Անջելեսի մշակութային կյանքում, մահացել է ապրիլի 30-ին Cedars Sinai բժշկական կենտրոնում՝ երկարատև հիվանդությունից հետո։

Ձեռնարկատերն իր կարողությունը ստեղծել է անշարժ գույքի և ապահովագրության ոլորտներից և ֆինանսավորել Ժամանակակից արվեստի թանգարանը, որը բացվել է 2015 թվականին։ Նա զգալի ավանդ է ունեցել Ուոլթ Դիսնեյ համերգասրահի, ինչպես նաև Կալիֆոռնիայի համալսարանի արվեստի կենտրոնի կառուցման գործում։ Նրա շնորհիվ են բացվել Յեյլի կառավարման դպրոցում գործող «Բրոդ կենտրոն»-ը և «Բրոդ ինստիտուտ»-ը, որը զբաղվում է գենոմային բժշկությամբ։
