Թուրքիայի և Ադրբեջանի նախագահներ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը և Իլհամ Ալիևը հեռախոսազրույց են ունեցել և քննարկել երկու երկրների համատեղ քայլերը և հնարավոր պատասխան միջոցները Հայոց ցեղասպանության վերաբերյալ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենի հայտարարության ֆոնին: Այս մասին հայտարարվել է շաբաթ օրը ՝ ապրիլի 24-ին, հայտնում է Anadolu գործակալությունը:

Բաքվում հայտարարել են, որ «ԱՄՆ նախագահի հայտարարությունը խեղաթյուրում է պատմական ճշմարտությունը 1915 թվականի իրադարձությունների վերաբերյալ և ափսոսանք է առաջացնում»:
