«Զանգեզուրն Ադրբեջանի պատմական տարածք լինելու մասին Ալիևի հայտարարություները տարածաշրջանի բնիկ ժողովուրդների ներկայացուցիչների և ընդհանրապես տարածաշրջանի պատմությանը քաջածանոթ յուրաքանչյուր անհատի մոտ ժպիտ են առաջացնում:

Ինչպես կարող է 100-ամյա Ադրբեջանի պատմական տարածք լինել հազարամյակներով բոլոր ժողովուրդների և պատմիչների կողմից մշտապես Հայաստան կոչված տարածքը:

Անհերքելի ճշմարտություն է, որ ներկայիս Ադրբեջանի տարածքում ադրբեջանցիները երբեք մեծամասնություն չէին կազմել ու չէին էլ կարող կազմել: Ադրբեջանն ինչպես ցարական Ռուսաստանի ենթակայության տակ եղած տարիներին, այնպես էլ նրա խորհրդայնացման պահին մշտապես դիտվել է հայերով և մուսուլմաններով բնակեցված երկիր՝ նկատի ունենալով հայկական բնակչության մեծ թիվը և  մուսուլմանական տարբեր ժողովուրդների առկայությունը, իսկ Զանգեզուրի՝ հայկական չլինելու մասին ընդհանրապես խոսակցություն չէր կարող լինել»,-գրում է թերթը:
