Նախագահ Սարգսյանը և Օնիկ Գասպարյանն անհրաժեշտության դեպքում հանդիպում են,  ուստի որևէ  միջնորդի կարիք չկա. Այս մասին պարզաբանում է տարածել ՀՀ նախագահի աշխատակազմը:

Պարզաբանման մեջ ասվում է. «Որոշ լրատվամիջոցներ տարածել են հերթական ապատեղեկատվությունը, թե իբր  նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանը միջնորդ է ուղարկել ԶՈՒ ԳՇ պետ Օնիկ Գասպարյանի մոտ՝ համոզելու հրաժարական տալ: Հերթական անգամ փաստում ենք, որ սույն տեղեկատվությունն ակնհայտ կեղծիք է և ընդհանրապես չի համապատասխանում իրականությանը:
