Արցախի Հանրապետության նախագահ Արայիկ Հարությունյանը մարտի 5-ին այցելել է Ստեփանակերտի քաղաքապետարան և հանդիպել աշխատակազմի պատասխանատուների հետ: Այս մասին հայտնում են Արցախի նախագահի աշխատակազմից։

Երկրի ղեկավարը նախ իր գոհունակությունն է հայտնել քաղաքապետ Դավիթ Սարգսյանին և աշխատակազմի մյուս պատասխանատուներին ինչպես պատերազմի օրերին, այնպես էլ դրանից հետո ցուցաբերած նվիրվածության և քաղաքացիական պատասխանատվության բարձր աստիճանի համար, ապա անդրադարձել ստեղծված իրավիճակին և դրան նախորդած ու հաջորդած գործընթացներին:

Արայիկ Հարությունյանն ընդգծել է, որ Պաշտպանության բանակի և ռուս խաղաղապահ զորակազմի անվտանգային երաշխիքներով Արցախը պահպանում և պահպանելու է դե ֆակտո անկախությունը և շարունակելու է ջանքերը անկախության միջազգային ճանաչման ուղղությամբ՝ միևնույն ժամանակ պատրաստ լինելով հակամարտության կարգավորմանը ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի ձևաչափով:

Հանրապետության նախագահն անդրադարձել է նաև մայրաքաղաքի զարգացման ծրագրերին, նշել, որ դրանց ծավալները նախապատերազմյան շրջանի համեմատ ընդհանուր առմամբ չեն նվազելու: Ավելացվելու են ինչպես բնակարանային շինարարության ծավալները, այնպես էլ քաղաքի բարեկարգման և նոր ենթակառուցվածքների ստեղծման աշխատանքները:
