32-ամյա Հաբարդ Բելն աշխատել է ներքին թռիչքներ իրականացնող «Mesa Airlines» ամերիկյան ավիաընկերությունում և մեկ այլ խոշոր ավիաընկերության՝ «Spirit Airlines»-ի արտոնյալ տոմսեր ստանալու հնարավորություն է ունեցել:

Աշխատանքից ազատվելուց հետո տղամարդը սկսել է «Mesa Airlines»-ի տվյալները վաճառել ճանապարհորդներին, որ նրանք կարողանային «Spirit Airlines»-ի անվճար տոմսեր պատվիրել:

Դատախազության տեղեկատվության համաձայն՝ ավիաընկերության նախկին աշխատակցի և այլ խաբեբաների հաջողվել է կեղծ փաստաթղթերով և անուններով 1953 չվերթի տոմսեր վաճառել: Միևնույն ժամանակ, Բելը 34 անվճար թռիչք է կատարել:
