Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը հրաժարվել է WhatsApp հավելվաժից` գաղտնիության քաղաքականության  փոփոխությունների պատճառով: Այս մասին հաղորդում է Լենտան` հղում անելով Bloombergին:

Նշվում է, որ անվտանգության խնդիրների պատճառով Էրդողանի աշխատակազմը WhatsApp-ում ստեղծած իր խմբերը տեղափոխում է BiP հավելված, որը պատկանում է Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS-ին: Էրդողանի գրասենյակը նաև կոչ է արել լրագրողներին միանալ BiP-ին:

Երկրի նախագահի օրինակին հետևել է նաև Թուրքիայի պաշտպանության նախարարությունը: 

Ըստ պարբերականի` այդ քայլը կարելի է դիտարկել որպես օտարերկրյա սոցիալական ցանցերի դեմ Էրդողանի զանգվածային արշավի մի մաս:

Նշվում է, որ վերջին օրերին BiP-ին միացել են մոտ մեկ միլիոն նոր օգտատերեր Թուրքիայից:
