Համացանցում լուրեր էին տարածվել, որ ադրբեջանցի զինվորականները Սոթքի հանքում են գտնվում, նշվում էր, որ աշխատակիցներին մեկ ժամ ժամանակ են տվել, որ դուրս գան: ArmLur.am-ի հետ զրույցում Գեղարքունիքի մարզպետ Գնել Սանոսյանը նշեց.

«Խնդիրը դարպասի տեղադրման վայրի հետ է կապված, որը հիմա եռակողմ քննարկման փուլում է, իսկ ինչ վերաբերվում է հանքի բուն տարածք նրանց մուտքին, դա իրականությանը չի համապատասխանում»:
