Ուրուգվայի Մոնտեվիդեո նահանգի օրենսդիր մարմինը ճանաչել է Արցախի անկախությունը:

«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ մարմինը բանաձևին հավանություն է տվել միաձայն: Հրապարակված տեքստում նշվում է, որ Ադրբեջանի, Հայաստանի և Ռուսաստանի կողմից ստորագրված համաձայնությունը ոչ թե ՄԱԿ-ի կողմից հաստատված հավաստի հավասարակշռված  բանակցությունների, այլ ուժի անօրինական գործադրման հետևանք է, ինչը ստիպում է զիջել այնպիսի հողեր, որոնք պատմական ժառանգություն են, և այնտեղ հազարամյակներ ի վեր բնակվել են հայեր:

Մասնավորապես, նշվում է, որ մարմինը կոչ է անում միջազգային հանրությանը հարգել Արցախի կարգավիճակը՝ որպես անկախ պետություն, ինչը խաղաղ կարգավորման իրական ուղին է, ինչն էլ կայուն խաղաղություն է ապահովելու Արցախի ու Հայաստանի համար:
