Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևը հայտարարել է Ռուսաստանի մայրաքաղաքում ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի հետ բանակցությունների պատրաստակամության մասին։ «Ես բանակցություններ վարելու հրավեր չեմ ստացել։ Ես բազմիցս մասնակցել եմ Ադրբեջանի, Հայաստանի և Ռուսաստանի նախագահների եռակողմ հանդիպումներին, բայց Հայաստանում Փաշինյանի իշխանության գալուց հետո այդպիսի հանդիպումներ չեն եղել: Այդ հանդիպումները նախորդ նախագահների հետ էին: Ես երբեք չեմ խուսափել այդ հանդիպումներից», - ասել է Ալիևը «Ինտերֆաքսին» տված հարցազրույցում: Նա շեշտել է, որ այդ հանդիպումները դրական է համարում, քանի որ Ռուսաստանը, որպես Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահ, հատուկ դեր է խաղում կարգավորման գործընթացում: Ադրբեջանի նախագահը հայտարարել է, որ պատրաստ է Մոսկվա գնալ Հայաստանի վարչապետի հետ բանակցությունների․ «Ինչպես դուք եք ասում, առանց որևէ պայմանի»,-հավելել է Ալիևը:
