Կանադայի Սենատի անդամ Լեո Հոսակոսը կոչ է արել Կանադայի կառավարությանը դատապարտել ադրբեջանա-թուրքական համատեղ ագրեսիան և ճանաչել Արցախի Հանրապետության անկախությունը: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ, սենատորն այս մասին հայտարարել է խորհրդարանում:

«Կանադայի Սենատը կառավարությանը կոչ է անում անհապաղ դատապարտել Արցախի Հանրապետության դեմ ադրբեջանա-թուրքական համատեղ ագրեսիան, աջակցել Թուրքիա ռազմական արտադրանքի արտահանման մշտական արգելքին, ճանաչել Արցախի ինքնորոշման իրավունքը, և էսկալացիայի սրացման, ինչպես նաև խաղաղ հայ բնակչությանը շարունակ թիրախավորելու լույսի ներքո ճանաչել Արցախի Հանրապետության անկախությունը»,-նշել է նա:

Ավելի վաղ Կանադայի Արտաքին գործերի նախարար Ֆրանսուա-Ֆիլիպ Շամպանը հայտարարել էր Թուրքիային ռազմական սարքավորումների մատակարարումը կասեցնելու մասին:
