Արցախում տեղի ունեցող պատերազմով պայմանավորված Իրանի զինված ուժերը բերվել են ռազմական վիճակի: Երկրի արևմտյան շրջաններում տեղակայվել են մի շարք ստորաբաժանումներ և ուժեղացվել ՀՕՊ համակարգերը: Դա պայմանավորված է նրանով, որ երկրի տարածք սկսել են հաճախակի ներթափանցել ադրբեջանի ԶՈՒ-ի կողմից արձակած արկերը իսկ օդային տարածքը խախտվել է ադրբեջանական բանակի հետախուզական անօդաչու սարքերով: Օդային սահմանը խախտած երկու անօդաչու ինքնաթիռ արդեն խփվել է, սակայն Բաքուն նման նախազգուշացմանը ինչպես հարկն է ուշադրության չէր արժանացրել: Հոկտեմբերի 2-ին Իրանի հակաօդային պաշտպանության համակարգերը խոցել են երկրի օդային տարածքը խախտած ադրբեջանական ռազմական ինքնաթիռը: Խոցված ինքնաթիռը ընկել է Իրանի տարածքում: Օդաչուների ճակատագիրի մասին տեղեկություններ չեն հրապարակվել:
