Առողջապահության համաշխարհային կազմակերպության փորձագետները կանխատեսում են, որ աշխարհին նոր համավարակ է սպառնում՝ թոքախտի համավարակ: Վերջին շրջանում աշխարհում մի քանի անգամ ավելացել է թոքախտով հիվանդների թիվը:

«Մենք շատ ենք վախենում, որ մինչև տարեվերջ կգրանցվի հիվանդների այնպիսի թիվ, որ անհրաժեշտ կլինի միջոցներ ձեռնարկել համավարակը կանխելու համար»,- ասել է ԱՀԿ փորձագետ Մելիտա Վույնովիչը: Մինչդեռ, պաշտոնական թվերի համաձայն` այս տարի թոքախտով հիվանդների թիվն ավելի պակաս է եղել, քան նախորդ տարի: Բայց ԱՀԿ մասնագետների կարծիքով, դա դեռ չի նշանակում, թե հիվանդացության մակարդակը նվազել է:

Բանն այն է, որ ախտորոշման համակարգը պարալիզացված է եղել կորոնավիրուսի պատճառով:
