NASA տիեզերական գործակալության մասնագետների տեղեկացմամբ՝ այս գիշեր Երկրից ոչ մեծ հեռավորության վրա կթռչի 2.7 կմ տրամագծով աստերոիդը:

Հսկայական երկնային մարմինը մեր մոլորակին չի դիպչի, քանի որ աստերոիդի թռիչքի հետագիծը Երկրից 5.8 միլիոն կիլոմետր հեռավորության վրա է:

Փորձագետների խոսքերով՝ այն վերջին 200 տարիների ընթացքում կլինի մեր մոլորակին այդքան մոտեցող միակ տիեզերական մարմինը՝ փոխանցում է Globalscience.ru-ն:

Չնայած գիտնականները վստահ են, որ տիեզերական մարմնի մոտեցումը ոչ մի հետևանք չի թողնի, տիեզերական «հյուրի» մոտեցումը գիտնականները ցանկանում են օգտագործել այն ուսումնասիրելու նպատակով: Հետագայում այդ տվյալները մասնագետները կօգտագործեն աստերոիդի ծագումը որոշելու համար, ինչն էլ ապագայում կօգնի կանխատեսել հսկայական երկրային մարմնի տեղաշարժը:
