1985 - Մեխիկո, Մեքսիկա (8,2 ըստ Ռիխտերի սանդղակի) - ավելի քան 7 500 մարդ է զոհվել։

1988 դեկտեմբերի 7 - Սպիտակի երկրաշարժ (6.9 բալ)։ Հայաստան, ավերվել են Սպիտակ, Լենինական քաղաքները և բազմաթիվ գյուղեր, 25000 մարդ է զոհվել, նույնքան ստացել են խեղումներ։

1995 մայիսի 28 - Նեֆտեգորսկ, Հյուսիս-արևելյան Սախալին (7.5 բալ) 1841 մարդ է զոհվել։

Սիչուանի երկրաշարժ (2008) - երկրաշարժ կենտրոնական Չինաստանում, զոհվել է մոտ 70000 մարդ։


2011 մարտի 11 - Ճապոնիայի երկրաշարժ (2011),Հոնսյու կղզում (9.1 բալ) ավելի քան 15,854 մարդ է զոհվել։
