Եղանակային անբարենպաստ պայմանների պատճառով ադրբեջանական կողմում հայտնված հայ սպա Գուրգեն Ալավերդյանին, ադրբեջանական Turan-ի հաղորդմամբ, մի շարք մեղադրանքներ են առաջադրվել, որոնց համաձայն նա կարող է ցմահ ազատազրկման ենթարկվել:

Ադրբեջանական կողմն Ալավերդյանին մեղադրում է «հետախուզական տվյալների հավաքագրման նպատակով սահմանն ապօրինի հատելու», ինչպես նաև «մարդկանց սպանելու, նրանց առողջությանը վնաս հասցնելու, նյութական զգալի վնաս հասցնելու, զենքի անօրինական շրջանառության» համար։
