Գիտնականները անվանել են կորոնավիրուսը հոտի կորստով պարզելու միջոցը, գրում է Rhinology-ին: Ըստ թերթի, CoViD-19-ը  ախտանիշներ կասկածելու ամենալուրջ պատճառը քթի փակվածության բացակայությունն է: Բացի այդ, վերջերս կատարված փորձի արդյունքում հայտնաբերվել են այլ տարբերություններ կովիդային անոսմիայի և մրսածության միջև:

Ըստ հետազոտողների, համեմատվել է մարդկանց երեք խմբերի հոտառությունը. հաստատված CoViD-19 ունեցող հիվանդները, ընդհանուր մրսածություն ունեցող և կատարյալ առողջ: Նրանց հոտի ընկալիչների զգայունությունը չափվել է հատուկ սարքերի միջոցով: Պարզվել է, որ CoViD-19-ով հոտերը զգում են շատ ավելի վատ, քան սովորական մրսածության դեպքում:

Բացի այդ, թեստը ցույց տվեց, որ կորոնավիրուսն ավելի ուժեղ ազդեցություն ունի համի ընկալման վրա: Նշվում է, որ հատկապես վատ է ընկալվում քաղցրն ու դառը։
