Օգոստոսի 16-ին Մոնտանայի բնակիչ ամերիկացի Գրեգ Հոգը ձկնորսության ընթացքում վիթխարի չավիչա (սաղմոնի տեսակ) է բռնել: Ձկան երկարությունը եղել է 96 սմ, իսկ լայնության պարագիծը՝ 66 սմ:

Ձկնաբուծության և ձկնորսության գծով տեղական ծառայության մարմինները Գրեգին հայտնել են, որ նա գերազանցել է նահանգի նախկին ռեկորդը: Վերջին անգամ հսկա չավիչա որսացել են 1991 թվականին: Այն 3 մմ-ով զիջել է Գրեգի բռնած չավիչային:

Փորձագետները բարձր են գնահատել տղամարդու որսը՝ ավելացնելով, որ համոզված են՝ շուտով մեկ ուրիշը նրա ռեկորդը կգերազանցի, քանի որ տեղացի ձկնորսների հետաքրքրությունը չավիչայի նկատմամբ աճում է:

Չավիչան սաղմոնային ընտանիքի ամենատարածված ձկնատեսակն է: Այն սնվում է մանր ձկներով և հասնում՝ խոշոր չափերի: Չավիչայի որսը, սովորաբար, սկսվում է ամռան վերջում:
