Օգոստոսի 14-ին Բելառուսի նախագահի ընդդիմադիր թեկնածու Սվետլանա Տիխանովսկայան հայտարարել է իշխանության փոխանցման համար կոորդինացնող խորհրդի ստեղծման մասին:

Լուկաշենկոն վերոնշյալ խորհրդի մասին խոսելիս ասել է. «Ես ուզում եմ զգուշացնել նրանց, ովքեր այդ շտաբ են մտել, որ մենք համապատասխան միջոցներ կձեռնարկենք՝ բացառապես Սահմանադրության և օրենքի համաձայն»:
