«Չորրորդ իշխանություն» թերթը գրում է. «Տեւական ժամանակ է ԱԺ՝ պատգամավոր Մհեր Սեդրակյանը չի ներկայանում ԱԺ քառօրյա նիստերին։ «ՉԻ» տեղեկություններով՝ Սեդրակյանը նեղացած է սեպտեմբերի 9-ին դիմակավորված անձինք ցուցադրաբար ներխուժել են պատգամավորի տուն եւ հետախուզվող անձի են որոնել։

Այդ աշխատանքները ոստիկանները իրականացրել են ակնհայտ ահաբեկչական ձեւերով։ Անակնկալի եկած Սեդրակյանը զանգահարել է հարազատ կուսակցության նախագահին եւ տեղեկացրել կատարվածի մասին։ Մեր տեղեկություններով՝ Սերժ Սարգսյանը պատասխանել է, որ տեղյակ չէ, ինչը տարակուսանք է առաջացրել Սեդրակյանի մեջ։

Թերեւս այս հանգամանքով էլ պայմանավորված է եղել այն, որ Մհեր Սեդրակյանը որոշել է իր որդու հարսանիքը կազմակերպել նեղ շրջանակով։ Փորձեցինք այս առնչությամբ մեկնաբանություն ստանալ Ոստիկանության հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչության պետ Աշոտ Ահարոնյանից, վերջինս պատասխանեց, որ միայն առավոտյան բաժնից կարող է ճշտել լուրի իսկությունը»:
