«Ազատ Հայրենիք» կուսակցությունը վաղուց հանդես էր եկել նման հայտարարությամբ։ Մենք դիմել էինք դատախազությանը՝ եթե հնարավոր է փոխել Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանի խափանման միջոցը, ստորագրություններ էին հավաքվել։ Այս մասին այսօր լրագրողների հետ զրույցում, անդրադառնալով ՀՀ 2-րդ նախագահ Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանի խափանման միջոցի փոփոխման հարցին, ասաց Արցախի նորընտիր նախագահ Արայիկ Հարությունյանը։  «Բայց այսօր ուզում եմ հայտարարել, որ մենք երբևէ Հայաստանի արդարադատության համակարգի գործունեությունը կասկածանքի տակ չենք դրել։ Երբ պետք էր, մենք հայտարարել ենք, մեր կողմից միջնորդություն եղել է, բայց այսօր կա ՀՀ արդարադատական համակարգ ու նրանց որոշելիքն է, ես չեմ ուզում գնահատական տալ ՀՀ արդարադատության համակարգի գործունեությանը»։
