Մեկնած օպերատիվ խմբին տղամարդը հայտնել է, որ վնասվածքը ստացել է նույն օրը ժամը 2-ի սահմաններում, Լոռի Բերդ գյուղի Կենտրոնական փողոցում։ Այնտեղ փորձել է հանդարտեցնել վիճաբանող անհայտ անձանց, ինչի ժամանակ որովայնի շրջանում զգացել է սուր ցավ:

Նույն օրը ոստիկանության Ստեփանավանի բաժնի ծառայողների ձեռնարկած օպերատիվ-հետախուզական միջոցառումների արդյունքում, օպերատիվ տվյալներն իրացնելիս Լոռի Բերդ գյուղի Աշոտ Երկաթ փողոցի տներից մեկից ոստիկանության բաժին բերման է ենթարկվել 35-ամյա մի քաղաքացի։ Նա ինքնախոստովանական բացատրություն է տվել, որ նույն օրը՝ կեսգիշերին, ոչ սթափ վիճակում, անձնական հարցերի պարզաբանման շուրջ առաջացած վիճաբանության ընթացքում իր մոտ գտնվող ծալովի դանակով մեկ անգամ հարվածել է տղամարդու որովայնի շրջանին՝ պատճառելով վնասվածք:
