Հայաստանի ֆիզիկական կուլտուրայի և սպորտի պետական ինստիտուտի ռեկտոր Վահրամ Առաքելյանը հրաժարական է տվել:

Այս մասին տեղեկացրին ինստիտուտից: Ռեկտորի հրաժարականի դիմումը դեռևս պետք է հաստատվի ինստիտուտի խորհրդի արտահերթ նիստում, որը նախատեսված է օգոստոսին:

Առաքելյանը ՀՖԿՍՊԻ ռեկտորի պաշտոնին է արդեն 20 տարի:1965-1970 թվականներին սովորել և ավարտել է Ֆիզիկական կուլտուրայի հայկական պետական ինստիտուտը։ Մանկավարժական գիտությունների դոկտոր (2002), պրոֆեսոր է (1996)։ Շուրջ 200 գիտական աշխատանքների, այդ թվում 8 մենագրությունների, 6 ուսումնական ձեռնարկների, բազմաթիվ գիտամեթոդական հոդվածների հեղինակ։ Աշխատությունները վերաբերում են մենապայքարային մարզաձևերի տեսության ու մեթոդիկայի հարցերին, ինչպես նաև մենամարտիկների մարմնի քաշի կարգավորման հիմնահարցերին։
