2013 թվականին Դի Կապրիոն նկարահանվեց Բազ Լուրմանի Մեծն Գեթսբին դրամայում, որը Ֆրենսիս Սքոթ Ֆիցջերալդի համանուն վեպի էկրանավորումն է, որի պրեմիերան տեղի ունեցավ 2013 թ.-ի Մայիսի 10-ին։

Ֆիլմում Լեոն մարմնավորում է Ջեյ Գեթսբիի կերպարը, որը գովեստի արժանացավ կինոքննադատների կողմից։

Նույն թվականի հաջորդ ֆիլմը Ուոլ Սթրիթի գայլը կենսագրական կատակերգությունն է, որը Մարտին Սկորսեզեյի հետ հինգերորդ աշխատանքն է։ Ֆիլմը պատմում է ԱՄՆ-ի ամենահայտնի բիզնեսմեններից մեկի՝ Ջորդան Բելֆորտդի մասին և նրա կյանքում կատարած սխալների մասին։

Լեոն ֆիլմի համար ստանում է Ոսկե Գլոբուս «Լավագույն կատակերգական դերասան» անվանակարգում և 5-րդ անգամ ներկայացվում Օսկար մրցանակի։

2016 թվականի ապրիլի 21-ին Նյու Յորքում հրապարկվում է «Time» ամսագրի կազմած «Աշխարհի 100 ազդեցիկ մարդիկ» ամենամյա վարկանիշը։ Լեոնարդո Դի Կապրիոն գլխավորում է այն «Կուռքեր» անվանակարգում։
