Երեկ ֆեյսբուքում լուսանկար էր տարածվել, որ Երևանի 1800-ամյակին նվիրված նորաբաց այգու արձաններից մեկը կոտրել են։ Օգտատերերի մի մասը նշում էր, որ տղայի արձանի ջարդված ձեռքը ֆոտոշոփ է, իսկ մյուսները նշում էին, որ արձանն իսկապես ջարդված է։ 

Ô´Õ¡Õ©Õ¸ Աբուլաձե-Õ« լուսանկարը:Մենք պարզեցինք, որ արձանի թևը իսկապես կոտրված է և արդեն կոտրված թևը տարել են այգուց։ Կոտրված թևի հետ տարել են նաև արձանի մաս կազմող նավակը։ 

ArmDaily.am-ի հարցին ոստիկանության լրատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից հայտնեցին, որ ոստիկանություն հաղորդում չի ներկայացվել արձանի վնասման դեպքով։ 

Նշենք, որ ավելի վաղ Երևանի քաղաքապետի մամուլի խոսնակ Հակոբ Կարապետյանը հայտնել էր, որ այգու պահպանությամբ զբաղվում է Վարդանյանների ընտանիքը։
