Ալկոհոլը քայքայում է ոչ միայն առանձին օրգաններ, այլ նաեւ կործանարար ազդեցություն է ունենում ռեպրոդուկտիվ հյուսվածքների ու ապագա սերնդի վրա: Իսկ դա նշանակում է, որ այն կործանում է ապագան: Ալկոհոլի ազդեցությունն ապագա երեխայի վրա լինում է 2 ձեւով:

Առաջինն այն է, որ ալկոհոլի գործածությունն ուղեկցվում է սեռական մթնոլորտի խորը փոփոխություններով ու ռեպրոդուկտիվ օրգանների ատրոֆիայով: Երկրորդը` հենց ուղիղ ազդեցությունն է սաղմնաբջջի վրա: Երբ մարդը գտնվում է ալկոհոլային ազդեցության տակ, նրա օրգանիզմի բոլոր բջիջները հագեցած են լինում եթերային թույնով, այդ թվում եւ՝ սաղմնային: 

Այն հատկապես շատ ծանր կանդրադառնա պտղի զարգացման ու երեխայի հետագա ճակատագրի վրա: Հատկապես կանանց կողմից ալկոհոլի ընդունումը զգալի ազդեցություն է ունենում ապագա սերնդի վրա:
