«Ժամանակ» թերթը գրում է. «Խորհրդարանական ընտրություններից հետո ալյուրի գինը թանկացավ 1 դոլարով՝ 22-ից դառնալով 23 դոլար, բարձր տեսակի 50-կիլոգրամանոց պարկի հաշվարկով: Թանկացավ նաև անասնակեր թեփի գինը՝ դառնալով 5 դոլար 40 ցենտ: Բայց ամենազավեշտալին ոչ միայն այս թանկացումն է, այլև այն, որ նույնիսկ նոր Հայաստանում ալյուրը և թեփը վաճառվում են դոլարով: Խոսքը մեծածախ վաճառքի մասին է, որը օրենքի կոպիտ խախտում է:

Զավեշտալի է նաև, որ Հայաստանում բոլոր արտադրողները ալյուրի գները բարձրացնում են նույն օրը և նույն չափով, ինչը խոսում է հակամրցակցային պայմանավորվածության գոյության մասին: Չնայած ալյուրի գինը բարձրացել է ընդամենը 1 դոլարով, սակայն հացը թանկացել է 10-20 դրամով, մեկ պարկի հաշվարկով՝ 2500-4000 դրամով»:
