Ռուս սահմանապահները ձերբակալել են հայ-թուրքական սահմանն ապօրինի հատած անձի: Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին Հայաստանում  ՌԴ Դաշնային անվտանգության ծառայության սահմանապահ վարչության մամուլի ծառայությունից,  Արտաշատի սահմանապահ ջոկատի սահմանապահները ձերբակալել են Հայաստանի Հանրապետության պետական սահմանն ապօրինի հատած անձի, ում մոտ փաստաթղթեր չեն հայտնաբերվել: Նախնական տվյալներով սահմանախախտը Աֆղանստանի Իսլամական Հանրապետության քաղաքացի է:

Նշվում է, որ սահմանախախտը կյանքի լավագույն պայմանների փնտրտուքներով  առանց խոչընդոտների հատել է պակիստանա-աֆղանական, աֆղանա-իրանական, իրանա-թուրքական սահմանները և միայն Հայաստան մտնելու փորձի ժամանակ ձերբակալվել է ռուս սահմանապահների կողմից:

Սահմանախախտը փոխանցվել է համապատասխան մարմիններին՝ միջադեպի  հանգամանքները պարզելու համար:
