Հռոմի Ֆրանցիսկոս պապը սայթաքել ու ընկել է Վատիկանում Սուրբ Մարթայի տուն վերադարձի ճանապարհին, որտեղ գտնվում է նրա կեցավայրը, գրում է «РИА Новости» գործակալությունը՝ հղում անելով Սուրբ Աթոռի մամուլի ծառայության ղեկավար Գրեգ Բերքին:

Նա, սակայն, հավաստիացրել է, որ Հռոմի պապը լավ է զգում իրեն, և արտառոց որևէ բան չի պատահել:

«Հանգստացե՛ք, նա միանգամից վեր է կացել ու լավ է զգում իրեն», - ասել է Վատիկանի պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչը 81-ամյա Ֆրանցիսկոսի մասին:

Նման միջադեպ Հռոմի պապի հետ պատահել էր նաև 2016 թվականին Լեհաստանում, երբ նա չէր նկատել աստիճաններն ու սայթաքել էր: Վեր կենալ նրան օգնել էին հոգևորականները, իսկ միջադեպը որևէ կերպ չի անդրադարձել արարողության վրա:
