Հիմք ընդունելով Ազգային ժողովի 2018թ. մայիսի 8-ի՝ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին վարչապետ ընտրելու վերաբերյալ որոշումը՝ նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանն այսօր հրամանագիր է ստորագրել Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին Հայաստանի Հանրապետության վարչապետ նշանակելու մասին: ՀՀ նախագահի նստավայրում այսօր կայացել է երկրի նախագահի և նորընտիր վարչապետի առաջին հանդիպումը:

Շնորհավորելով Նիկոլ Փաշինյանին՝ երկրի նախագահն ասել է. «Ուզում եմ մաղթել, որպեսզի որքան հնարավոր է շուտ ձևավորեք կառավարությունը և լծվեք այն բոլոր խնդիրների լուծմանը, որ մեր պետության, կառավարության, ողջ ժողովրդի և այս երկրի՝ Հայաստանի Հանրապետության առջև են: Ձեզ լավագույն մաղթանքներս և հաջողություններ»:
