Դերասանն անձ է, ով խաղում է դրամատիկական կամ կատակերգական ստեղծագործություններում և աշխատում է կինոյում, թատրոնում, հեռուստատեսությունում, ռադիոյում կամ այլ նման հաստատություններում։

Դերասանները պետք է ունենան գրավիչ արտաքին, խոսքի ճկունություն և իհարկե դերասանական կրթություն:

Ցավոք հայկական հեռուստաէկրաններին վերջերս նկատվում է նշվածներից միայն մեկը՝ գրավիչ արտաքինը:
