Մինչ բազմաթիվ չակերտավոր բարերարներ  բարեգործության անվան տակ քողարկում էին իրենց անձնական շահը, Հովիկ Աբրահամյանն այդ ընթացքում օգնում էր ապրիլյան քառօրյա պատերազմում արիաբար զոհված զինվորների ընտանիքներին: 

Տավուշի մարզի Զորական գյուղում նա կառուցել է զոհված հերոսի հայրական կիսաքանդ տունը և մշտապես իր հովանավորության տակ վերցված ընտանիքին ցուցաբերել է ֆինանսական և բարոյական օգնություն:
