Սովորաբար փոքր քաղաքներն ավելի ապահով ու անվտանգ են, քան մեծ քաղաքները։ The Economist-ը հրապարակել է 2017 թվականի ամենաապահով 60 քաղաքների ցանկը՝ առանձնացնելով առավել 11 անվտանգներին։

Ցանկը կազմելիս հաշվի են առնվել տվյալ քաղաքում հանցագործությունների, ահաբեկչական գործողությունների հաճախակությունն ու քանակը և այլն։

Ցավոք, Երևանը չի ընդգրկվել անգամ ամենաանվտանգ 60 քաղաքների ցանկում, սակայն մեր մայրաքաղաքում գրանցվել են բավականին դրական ցուցանիշներ։ Գրանցված 334 քաղաքների ցանկում ապահովության ցուցանիշով Երևանը զբաղեցնում է 68-րդ հորիզոնականը։
