Թուրքիան Հարավային Կովկասով անցնող և տարածաշրջանը թուրքական տարածքին կապող Միջին միջանցքը համարում է միջազգային առևտրային ու տրանսպորտային կապերի զարգացման առանցքային տարրերից մեկը։ Այս մասին հայտարարել է Թուրքիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Հաքան Ֆիդանը, փոխանցում է Anadolu-ն։

Նրա խոսքով՝ տրանսպորտային երթուղիների դիվերսիֆիկացիան ռազմավարական անհրաժեշտություն է դառնում, քանի որ թույլ է տալիս ընդլայնել շուկաների հասանելիությունն ու ամրապնդել մատակարարումների գլոբալ շղթաները։

Ֆիդանն ընդգծել է, որ Թուրքիան իր աշխարհագրական դիրքը դիտարկում է ոչ միայն որպես մայրցամաքներն իրար կապելու հնարավորություն, այլև որպես ռազմավարական պատասխանատվություն։

Այդ ներուժի իրացման համար անհրաժեշտ են զարգացած ենթակառուցվածքներ, դիվանագիտական ջանքեր և տրանսպորտային երթուղիների անվտանգության մակարդակի բարձրացում։

Որպես ևս մեկ հեռանկարային նախագիծ՝ թուրք նախարարը մատնանշել է Իրաքի ու Թուրքիայի տարածքով Պարսից ծոցը Եվրոպային կապող տրանսպորտային երթուղու ստեղծումը։ Անկարան նաև ձգտում է դիվերսիֆիկացնել էներգետիկ երթուղիներն ու մատակարարման աղբյուրները։

Ֆիդանի խոսքով՝ նման նախագծերը տարածաշրջանային կապերի ավելի լայն համակարգի մաս են կազմում, որն ունակ է նոր տնտեսական հնարավորություններ ստեղծել և ամրապնդել քաղաքական համագործակցությունը։
