ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը Իրանի հետ պատերազմի ընթացքում ամառային ռազմական գործողությունների դադարեցումը համարում է ժամանակի զուր վատնում։ Համապատասխան հայտարարությամբ նա հանդես է եկել Միսիսիպի նահանգում՝ Հանրապետական կուսակցության կողմնակիցների առջև, Կոնգրեսի միջանկյալ ընտրությունների նախաշեմին։

Խոսելով հակամարտության սկզբի մասին՝ Թրամփը ներկայացրել է այն վարկածը, ըստ որի՝ ԱՄՆ-ը «ընտրություն չուներ»։ «Դա պետք էր անել արդեն վաղուց, և այն, ինչ տեղի է ունենում հիմա, շատ շուտով կավարտվի», – պնդել է նա։

«Մենք գնացինք կարճատև հրադադարի, որն ինձ առանձնապես դուր չէր գալիս։ Ես դա համարում էի ժամանակի զուր վատնում», – շարունակել է ամերիկացի առաջնորդը։ «Մենք [Հորմուզի նեղուցով] թույլ տվեցինք անցնել մի քանի նավերի։ Մենք ուզում ենք լավը լինել, բայց դա, որքան ինձ հայտնի է, ժամանակի զուր վատնում էր», – հավելել է նա։
