Երեկ՝ հուլիսի 16-ին, խոշոր ավտովթար է տեղի ունեցել Կոտայքի մարզում։ Ժամը 17։30-ի սահմաններում Երևան քաղաքի Ավան Դուրյան թաղամասի բնակիչ՝ 37-ամյա Լևոն Գալստյանը Գեղարդի եկեղեցական համալիր չհասած ճանապարահահատվածում իր վարած ВАЗ 2107 մակնիշի 21 ՕՍ 546 համարանիշի ավտոմեքենայով դուրս է եկել ճանապարհի երթևեկելի գոտուց և մոտ 80 մետր գլորվելով՝ հայտնվել ձորակում։

Ինչպես հայտնում է ֆոտոլրագրող Գագիկ Շամշյանը, վթարի հետևանքով վարորդ Լ. Գալստյանը, նրա ուղևորներ՝ Երևան քաղաքի Ավան-Դուրյան թաղամասի բնակիչներ, 29-ամյա Թամարա Սարգսյանը, 7-ամյա Գոռ Գալստյանը և 14-ամյա Համլետ Գալստյանը մարմնական վնասվածքներով տեղափոխվել են Գառնիի ամբուլատոր կենտրոն, որտեղից էլ, ըստ տեղեկությունների, տեղափոխվել են «Սուրբ Գրիգոր Լուսավորիչ» բժշկական կենտրոն։
